The U.S. Coast Guard and Customs Services truly are wonderful in safeguarding the country from hazardous materials that could be smuggled into our ports in shipping containers. They have a program that not only protects us but also speeds up the inspection process.
Among those anxious to help this process are two people with very little in common. One is Hu Haifeng, a Red princeling, a business executive who lives and works in Beijing. He's the son of Hu Jintao, the president of China. The other is Sandy Berger, who was Bill Clinton's national security adviser for four years.[snip]
Berger was at archives preparing testimony for the 9/11 Commission when he made a number of trips to the toilets, stuffing notes and original classified documents into his clothes and filling a leather briefcase. When the FBI searched his home, Berger volunteered to return some sensitive documents. Other papers allegedly were destroyed.
Perhaps that is the reason for Berger's company having "strategic alliances" with several companies, one of which is Port Security International (PSI).
PSI is based in Reston, Va., and claims to be big in the container security business. Its literature notes that PSI has a "strategic alliance" with Stonebridge, carefully not mentioning the name of Berger.[snip]
But PSI forgets to mention Nuctech was established at Tsinghua University in Beijing in 1997 and, thanks to big subsidies from China's Communist government, was able to put together a high-performance, large-scale container inspection system.

And who is optimistic enough to trust Sandy Berger and a dedicated Chinese Communist with the keys to our national security -- especially the keys to our much-courted American ports, which likely are to be operated by one set of rogues, while being "secured" by a potential enemy?

When Berger walked I lost the last bit of confidence I had (which wasn't much) in our judicial system. He and Teddy walking around on the loose is just too much.

I hope someday that someone will explain why our DoJ let Berger off. Noel Hillman was the individual that handled the case and, instead of indicting Berger and bringing him to trial, basically sent him to traffic court. That was in inexcusable failure and was a slap in the face of every military and civilian employee who has ever been responsible for safeguarding classified information.
Sandy Berger was serving as candidate Kerry's national security campaign consultant when Berger pilfered classified US national security documents from the National Archives. Was the Berger pilfer not what was originally suspected (a Clinton cover-up)----but an attempt to compromise the 2004 election, to undermine George W Bush's reelection?
Americans need to know the extent of culpability engendered by these activities--- primarily whether our President was harmed ----and whether Sen Kerry's advisor, Sandy Berger---colluded to compromise the election process, and did, in fact, undercut the reelection chances of President Bush through the use of stolen classified documents.
