They can already marry someone of the opposite sex just like I can. They choose to want rights that nobody has. That would be "Special rights"
Not true. I do not support gay marriage, and that's not what I'm talking about.
Civil rights means equal protection under the law. Gays are discriminated against all the time- in the workplace, the housing market, and in estate planning. Unmarried couples are permitted to adopt in many states, but unmarried gay couples BY LAW are not permitted to adopt in the same states (Florida is an example). And in one of the oddest adoption laws, Mississippi allows single gays to adopt, but not gay couples.
Civil rights for gays is not about "special rights," it's about "equal rights."
