Since you can't oppose a predator crushing the spine of a newborn antelope, tearing its throat out and then eating its guts, how does overfeeding an animal then swiftly slaughtering it rate as cruelty?
When nature has her way, snakes poison and/or suffocate their prey before swallowing them whole. Sometimes they don't even wait until they're dead.
What do we do that even approaches that?
If it can't be properly defined, how then can it be regulated?
