last time i was on a goose-fattening thread, and stated that the method was cruel, a goose farmer posted to me that the geese don't mind being fed that way, and that they come up to the funnel to get the food.
does anyone know if the geese mind being fattened?

Yes, a California hippie once said to me--in all seriousness--"But, you know, I think that on some level the food animals volunteer to incarnate and be eaten, don't you?"

Naturally, I said, "No. That's about the most harebrained thing I've ever heard." (And that's saying a lot.) "Do you think the dogs and cats in China volunteer to be eaten but the ones in the U.S.A. don't?"

I know what you mean. If you really want to see the flame-throwers activated, say something about not liking to hunt.

Look, goose ain't got teeth, taste buds or any true sense of smell but it does get hunger pangs.

As far as any liver is concerned, it would take a funnel and two strong men to get any of it in my stomach.
