Ahh, gotta love the knee-jerk reaction...

It's exactly that kind of logic that made this situation ridiculous.

Oh come on. She was told to find a family friendly play...this sounds like this play was being put on for the community, not for an English class or a class of 11th/12th graders.

No one is saying that these kids can't or shouldn't study Shakespeare but she was asked to pick a play that could be appreciated by the family and she choose not to do that by her administrator's standards.

To call the town intolerant is knee jerk...they just want a play that 6 year olds as well as 60 year olds can appreciate.

She's right-- she should go to a school that is a better match and I should be able to send my kids (with my money) to a school that is a good match for us.
