I'm not reading past the first post to know that this thread is filled with various people who state clearly that they will not vote for him.

Grow up. This man will be the nominee unless he falls ill.
To say eg, that you will not vote for McCain/Rice is to put another Clinton in the White House for another 8 years.

Just like you did with the silly "protest vote" for Perot, when that let Clintoon into the White House for 8 LONG years.

Do it again. The Clintons are counting on you.

OK so the last hit on your bong caused a brief moment of dementia when you claimed McCaniac will be the next nominee.

I don't necessarily like polls but 61% of America is against any kind of amnesty.

Yet this goof ball continues to push the selling of American citizenship as though it was a cheap trinket to be had by anyone.

Immigration, borders and security trump most of the other issues now on both party's plates.

I don't think the knuckle headed leadership of either party really understand just how big or entrenched an issue immigration, borders and security is with their constituents.

I was taught from the earliest time in school that being an American citizen has it's advantages over any other citizenship in the world.

I for one do not appreciate any potential candidate who tries to invalidate that thinking.

That arguement wont work here so dont bother. You forget, mccain coudlnt win in 2000 when he had democrats voting for him and he hadn't angered the conservative base quite as much as he has over the last 6 years. Now he has to win with conservatives more hostile to him and no democrat cross over voters. (They have their own primary to deal with, they cant come crossing over to vote for mccain).

There was a time when I really respected and admired John McCain- in fact I would have voted for him 8 years ago.

I don't have to like someone to vote for them- but I DO need a degree of trust. I don't trust him. I expect people in much more powerful places in the GOP would agree- I'll be surprised if he is indeed the nominee.

In the meantime- we can squabble amongst ourselves:)

He has already fallen ill. Mentally ill. He would be the worse thing that could happen to this country since peanut brain Carter, and possibly even worse.
