I see an all too common tendency to judge people we have never met on the basis of a rumor. That is lashon hara. We must learn to give people the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise. There may be things we don't know about that lead them to act in ways of which we disapprove. So let's hear out a person before we judge them. Hank Williams and his family deserved better.

Supposedly the host on the black radio station said, with great dry wit, that the charges were unfounded and unfair, that most blacks weren't going to believe it, and that it wouldn't hurt Hank Jr.'s record sales in the black community.

No one is judging the Williams family, except that fool of a woman that called in to WDIA and made this racist and just downright inflammatory statement.

If the radio station has caller ID, she should be prosecuted for trying to incite.

This is what we have to live with in Memphis everyday, and it really gets old.
