Wow! That was such a long time ago...Hmmm...I'll go get some cotton candy and think about it for a few. LOL!
Okay, promised update on Nana...using a rebuilt ping list.
Scar tissue kept Nana from getting more than about 65* of bend in the new knee, so Doc went in and manipulated it under anestesia. The procedure was scheduled for 1PM, but got bumped an hour to do an emergency surgery on a 10-yr-old boy with a broken wrist/arm.
Nana was in the OR for 5 minutes and recovery for an hour. Doc bent her to 110-115*, he told me that everything went perfectly. They gave her 10 mg of Morphine and a coupla Percocet on top of the anesthesia, so she's been feeling no pain until about 9:30 this evening.
She went right onto the Constant Passive Motion (CPM) machine in recovery, and has been on it ever since except when she needed to get up and visit the little girls' room...which she did three times while I was there. She walks just fine, and will probably be off the walker this time next week!
I was concerned about setbacks to her recovery so far (from January's surgery) but she is able to do just as much now - or more! - as she was doing two days ago. And when she sits on the edge of the bed, her legs hang at the same angle - about 90* - straight down. There was no way her new knee would bend like that this morning!
