Keith M. Little, a Marine veteran and Navajo code talker, was one of the 35 Iwo Jima veterans who shared their stories with the Marines that day.Those guys were just cool.

6000 Marines were killed on Iwo Jima and sleep in a cemetery on this tiny speck of sulfur rock in the Pacific where the opening battle took place of what would have been the invasion of the Japanese homeland.
At the gateway to the cemetery someone carved a tribute in stone:
"When you go home,
Tell them for us and say,
For your tomorrow,
We gave our today."
Think of that poem the next time you see someone burning the American flag.

Sadly, most of the survivors are gone. The youngest survivors are almost 80.
