The only person who is not scared of Katherine is Bill Nelson.

Well, Mel Martinez was a reluctant candidate who won the GOP primary against someone who would have lost the general in 2004. And a major part of the Martinez platform was that he was the stronger candidate for the general election.

Maybe Thomas Rooney can do the same, though Katherine Harris is far better-known than Bill McCullom was.

It's too bad that Harris is staying in the race. She's a good person but a lousy candidate.

Katherine could spend $10 million and lose in the primary.

Typical GOP establishment backstabbing and double-dealing. Why can't you guys just stop the hand-wringing, STFU, and support Harris?

What is wrong with Harris? She's already in the race. Why is the establishment trying to undercut her?

Please, let her spend her money and do whatever it takes to unseat Nelson.

Harrris helped Bush by doing her job in the face of incredible and vicious attack by the far left-wing extremists and their Democrat fellow-travellers. I sent her flowers and I'm even a Florida resident, in thanks for her courage.

She SHOULD get support and should win.

Besides, she's one hot-looking lady.

Harris by staying in the race, will just drain the resources of the FLGOP.

Harris is 20 points behind, but she has 10 million.

She is not a lousy candidate, she has never lost an election.

Lets all join hands and crawl on broken glass to help her.

Ya, think that any bad news will stop the looney toon Democrats?

Think of what the Klintoons and what they overcame to get elected. Although the Liberal Media was a factor. But liberals don't have a network like FreeRepublic.

There just is never going to be a perfect Candidate, HARRIS is it, call and volunteer or donate.

And no, I am not her campaign manager, but the wife and I met her in Washington at the Inaugural Ball.

If we Freepers in Florida, cannot get BILL NELSON, a weak, Michael Moore enthusiast UNELECTED, then we ought to surrender our FREEPER LICENSE to Jim Robinson.

I am call on all good Florida Freepers to Support Harris, and lets Stop looking for the PERFECT CANDIDATE!

ITS HARRIS, and take no prisoners!

I have heard that Harris' prospects against Nelson are down. What happened and can she recover? There are still months left; I would imagine she can. She's a good woman.

Everyone here NOT from Florida needs to stop frothing at the mouth every single time the MSM puts out typical BS.

These news-people are *laughing* at you.

Rooney has no intention of running against Harris.
For Christ's sake, do you listen to the Dem's 5th column when it comes to other issues, as well??

CNN... GEEZ!

How so? FL is a solid red state and the FL GOP has plenty of cash on hand.

Besides, she doesn't need their money. She'll get more from the grassroots nationwide.

Well said. For some reason the GOP is afraid that the Dim backlash against Harris will rub off in her Senate race. This is hogwash because the hand-wringers were saying the same thing about Jeb Bush back in 2002 and in Harris' Congressional race.

These people got all the spine of ramen noodles.

She's not ready for the Senate. And Florida is not as solid as you think. There are people in Florida still stinging over 2000, and believe she stole the presidential election from Al Gore.

It's typical MSM/RINO balderdash, you know, the same folks who said Tom DeLay was going to lose the GOP primary.

"These people got all the spine of ramen noodles."

That's the whole problem. You are exactly correct.
