U gotta be kiddin me!
While the "Editor's Note" is very dismissive, you've just gotta know that this is a warning shot from the Administration.
Maybe Bush has seemed confident all along that history would vindicate him because Bush has been confident all along that history would vindicate him.

With the blessing of the Good Lord and confidence that the facts support his efforts, I am sure President Bush has all of his ducks in a row. The DemonRATs may be quacking now because of how bad they portrayed Dick Cheney but GW will pick the right time to show these Rats who is the straight shooter in the White House.

Maybe Bush has seemed confident all along that history would vindicate him because Bush has been confident all along that history would vindicate him.I don't think he worried what history might do to his legacy - he's one of the few that will do what he thinks is right no matter what idiots might think. Only a fool would have thought that Iraq didn't have WMDs and ties to the major terror organizations of the world. Sometimes glomming the overall picture gives you overwhelming proof of a situation, even if you can't get "legally binding" proof. The Dims want to use a court-like system (you know, like the system that let O.J. go) and the Prez wants to protect us and is willing to put his reputation on the line to close the loopholes.

While the "Editor's Note" is very dismissive, you've just gotta know that this is a warning shot from the Administration. Why would this be a "warning shot FROM the Administration"?
This is the usual "Journalist" take on anything that conflicts with the Democrat talking points.
