CBS got hammered yesterday with a record $3.6 million in fines for airing a prime-time show that depicted a teen sex orgy.
The episode featured scenes of partially dressed teenagers engaged in both couples and group sex.
The FCC hit 111 CBS affiliates with a $32,500 fine each for violating decency standards when they aired the 12/31/2004, episode of "Without a Trace," which dealt with the disappearance and possible rape of a high school student.
"While there is no nudity, the scene is highly sexually charged and explicit," the FCC said of the show. "Moreover, the material is particularly egregious because it focuses on sex among children."
But CBS said in a statement that the "Without a Trace" episode wasn't unduly graphic and "featured an important and socially relevant story line warning parents to exercise greater supervision of their teenage children."
The stations could appeal to the FCC or in federal court.
The rebuke from the Federal Communications Commission came as the agency also voted to uphold its $550,000 penalty against CBS for Janet Jackson's notorious breast-baring "wardrobe malfunction."
The network also said it would keep fighting the FCC's penalty resulting from Jackson's peekaboo performance at the Super Bowl two years ago.
Did the Teens use a Font as well ???
Does anyone think the FCC should even exist??????
Are you suggesting that they were fonting?
TV today is not just a vast wasteland, but a filthy sewer as well.
I saw it on O'Reilly also, and it wasn't good for kids to see. He warned everyone ahead of time.
Yeah, he warned everyone, to make sure they stayed tuned. He always does that, he does a segment on a sexy topic and then shows the video over and over again. Later he did a segment on Jessica Simpson and made sure to show her striptease car washing video lol, even though it had nothing to do with the story.

No it is not. Broad brush, etc.
There are some very good programs on. Of course that statement eliminates any network channel.
My kids love the History Channel, Disney Channel, to name only a few. There really is some good, wholesome, educational stuff out there.
Are you kidding?!? Some 'conservatives' think there should be a federal moral police.
Bill O'Reilly: guilty of occassional Heterosexual Propogandizing
(just joshing...but I thought it sounded fitting given the video tidbits
all the off-the-rails judges he covers)
abc, cbs, nbc, cnn and msnbc have been Locked Out on all the tv's in my home-long time ago.
How old are your kids?
I didn't mention kids. How'd you know, lol?
They are 20, 17 and 13.
(And btw, I was listening to Laura Ingram, as I always try to each morning, and I think it was about two weeks ago that she was discussing what's on MTV. Well, I won't mention here what Ingram said and I'm no dumbXXX but I truly didn't know that this kind of flatout nasty garbage is on MTV. So, that same evening after getting home from work, I added the two MTV channels to Locked/Blocked Out.)
SNORT.
