Scots-Irish here to. My ancestors wandered from Va. to N.C. to S.W. Georgia and finally to East Texas before the WBTS. Another branch stopped off in Atalla Co. Mississippi for a generation and didn't get here 'till after the War. All of them referred to themselves as Scots-Irish. My direct line has a straight Anglo -Saxon name but due to intermarrying even they were predominantly Scots-Irish. They started out as Prebyterians but most later became Methodists or Baptists.
