By the way, the reason I messaged you on the old Fallaci thread is that yesterday I bought her book, "The Force of Reason," so I was checking out threads about her. The book is frightening: what we are facing is the selling out of Western civilization, the suicide of the West, as it's been called, undertaken by the far Left and liberal elites in a manner that is deliberate, conscious, and yet symptomatic of a collective mania of arrogant stupidity and naivete. In other words, the Left is trying to bring down Western civilization, but they really don't grasp what that will mean for them personally. They don't understand that all they claim to hold dear - intellectual freedom, secularism, freedom of conscience, the rights of women, human rights in general, will be utterly destroyed. We really don't have much time to turn this around.
