I hope there were some links. But it's going to be really hard to convince me that the links were strong enough to justify taking over the entire country, spending hundreds of billions and killing so very many people.

The invasion of Iraq will stand or fall on whether the people of Iraq end up liberated and free with a friendly democratic government. If we do that then history will remember us kindly. That's why Murtha, Cindy and company are such a serious threat - they want us to run away with the job half finished.

The Congress authorized the president to take out anyone he wanted provided they had some kind of link, even if only aiding or abetting, to Al Qaeda.

They specifically left it up to the President to make that call.

Just because Saddam was providing training to include an airliner for practice does not mean he was actually supporting an attack. The airliner was for practice in evacuating terrorists in case the airliner didn't crash./Sarc

It was all about safety you know.
