It will be interesting to see if the 'actionable intelligence' for this operation was obtained from any of the 421 Al-Quaeda trying to infiltrate the green zone.

Of course, the big story in the MSM will be on interrogation methods, not the results.o

US bombs women and children. Of course, when they are embedded with the terrorists.

And they'll say it was done to "stop or prevent the civil war." Watch.

That's been their mantra. Civil war, civil war, civil war.

There hasn't even been a hint of a civil war here.

The media is a trip.

Are you going to be there for the parade? That can be a lot of fun.

If so, {hic!} drink a green beer for me!

Republicans of the WWII era didn't try to use setbacks in the war (and there were many) as a cudgel against FDR (so as not to lend comfort to the enemy) as the Demonrats use setbacks in Iraq today, comfort to the enemy be hanged. Ditto the MSM. Quite a contrast.

of the unilateral decision on Wednesday.

LOL! So, pulling our troops out of Iceland is "unilateral". I'm sure they hate to lose the economic support, but what an idiotic yet predictable way for AyPee to report it.

And Allegra is the last to know!

HAHAHA - we found out along with everyone else. We were in the chow hall and CNN {shudder!} stopped an interview and went to it. The banner on the bottom of the screen was flashing "US ATTACK - IRAQ."

For just a moment, I thought they were harkening back to 2003...LOL

I was actually a bit surprised at the pullout..

It's been less than 10 years ago that we were facing off against russian fighters and spyplanes attempting to test our security resolve over iceland..

Now we're just walking away..
Guess we're not worried about russia any more..
Sounds like an ignorant move to me..

What the administation could do to turn around public opinion on the war in the US and to give Shia confidence that they don't have to take matters into their own hands is to put maybe 40,000 more US troops into the country and go on many largescale offensives.

The public just wants to see more then anything that we are actually kicking the enemies ass in Iraq. They don't care if we have 100,000 troops in country or 170,000. To the average American it just seems like we are just sitting there as insurgents kill us and as Iraqis kill Iraqis. We haven't had an offensive that got real coverage from the press since Fallujah. Tal Afar got alittle coverage, but it came at a time the media was focused on the hurricane and other things.

And, if the president really wants to convince the US public he is serious about winning he will take out the damn terrorist training camps in Syria with a US and Iraqi offensive. Now that would boost his numbers and save American lives you don't get a better combo then that.

If it was done to stop or prevent a civil war that's as good a reason as any. They really must be exterminated, and new means of entry blocked, much as one does to a nest of cockroaches.

I haven't the foggiest idea if we are bombing anything. All I hear about is soldiers re...repel...repal...oh, heck, they're coming out of choppers on those long cables. It is, as they say, an ongoing operation.

I noticed that CNN now has their own "situation room." These freaks act like they think they are the government.
