I don't know what the IND registration is - why don't you call your local registrar's office and find out .. they'll give you the information if you ask. Then you'll see that your 20% is also way out of line - and the real number is probably closer to less than 10% if it's that much.

So .. don't break your arm patting yourself on the back. I'm still going with the 46% - because Battleground has been the most consistently accurate of all the poll takers - which should also be a clue.

What are the remaining 38%?

North Carolina registered voters are 47% Democrat, 34% Republican, and 19% Independent. Hopefully that shows you how meaningless your objections are....

In Massachusetts, independent voters outnumber both Democrats and Republicans. In Ohio, something like 60% of voters are not affiliated with a party.

Independent doesn't mean voting Green or Reform, it means that you don't identify with one of the two major parties but will likely vote for one of the most of the time.
