After all I've done for you people!

Yes! I conspired with Feingold to restrict your first amendment rights, I am trying to restrict the ability of US agents from extracting vital information from terrorists on how they are planning to kill us, and now I am allowing illegal invaders to stay and wreak havoc all over! AND YOU QUESTION ME? Yes, “It's people like you who make my job so hard." Oh by the way I got 77% of the vote last year! Did you know that John Kerry served in Vietnam! Stop it all you people that who make my job so hard! AAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

McCain has done this type of thing before. In the early 1990's, when he and John Kerry joined forces to deep-six the last chances of the families of the Vietnam veteran MIA's to force North Vietnam to come clean on the fates of their loved ones, they were heading up the Senate Select Committee on the Normalization of Relations with Vietnam. *(Don't remember the exact name.)

Billions of dollars in trade and investment were on the table, versus the efforts of the families to find out about their loved ones. That financial leverage was the MIA families' last hope to get the Vietnamese to cooperate, but Kerry and McCain betrayed them, with Kerry's staff even shredding evidence they had been given that some MIA's were still alive.

To top it off, during one of the committeee hearings when the mother of one of the MIA's tried to talk to McCain, he lit into her just the way he has done here, and even followed her out into the hallway while continuing to berate her.

Incidentally, McCain's shameful actions as described above are one reason why he backed-off after a single warning from the Swiftboat Vets when he initially tried to come to Kerry's defense against their charges.

McCain should not be allowed near the Oval Office for the simple fact that he is insane.

I am a resident of Arizona and I am ashamed to say that McCain represents this state. McCain is a first class jack ass who is only out for himself. This jack ass deserves no support from the GOP base.

Quisling: A word Norwegians are not very proud of having given to the world: it derives from Vidkun Quisling (1887-1945), a Norwegian politician who collaborated with the Nazis during World War II. He established his name as a synonym for "traitor", someone who collaborates with the invaders of his country, especially by serving in a puppet government. Quisling was found guilty of high treason in 1945, and was executed by firing squad on the 24th October 1945.

"McCain has just killed his chances for the Presidency."

Please. The number of people that will see this "report" won't even register as a statistical anomaly.

Agreed regardless of whether one agrees with McCain or the 9/11 families represented by these individuals no one in public office should loose their cool especially if this report is correct to the point of having to "encouraged" by security to go back into the building.

No so fast. While I may not agree with McCain on many issues, trying to equate 9/11 terrorists with the cheap labor coming into america are two different problems. albeit they are both huge problems.

I agree with you for the most part, but not linking or seeing the relationship between illegal immigration and possible future terrorism would be ill advised. Our enemies will try to exploit our weaknesses and illegal immigration is one of our weaknesses.

The Senator from Arizona has been a major dissapointment to me. I used to idolize the man and still respect his sacrifices, but will not support him in his future presidential ambitions.

++++++++I can think of plenty of reasons to disqualify John McCain - and that's one. Another is his stand on illegal immigration. +++++++++++++

Yet another is Little John's relationship with North Vietnamese Communists

"I used to idolize the man and still respect his sacrifices, but will not support him in his future presidential ambitions."

Have you heard much about Senator Tom Coburn from here in Oklahoma? Problems is, if someone approached him about it, he would probably answer, "Why would I want to do that?", which would make him all the more appealing. He is a maverick too, but typically to the right of the republican party.

I must be an idiot. I just do not understand that headline.

Aaargh! I can't believe I had a typo in the title of a post. I hate that! It is one of my pet peeves. It should read McCain Screams at 9/11 Families for a Secure America Member for Opposing his Illegal Amnesty Bill.

"...but not linking or seeing the relationship between illegal immigration and possible future terrorism would be ill advised."

Absolutely. The problem is, it is such a problem trying to unlink our industry from the illegal immigration. (and those of you that say 'Just do it! Make it happen!, hold off on your idealistic ammo because it ain't gonna happen). Specifically, the construction business does not "employ" illegals. They typically have a 'gringo' general contractor running the operation. This guy, typically only high school educated, is living in the 'here and now' trying to make a buck. They don't care if they get shut down. Thus, he wins the 'low bid' in getting the job, and then has his legal, spanish-speaking mexican superintendent round up the mexicali's at the local 7-11. If something goes wrong, he claims ignorance. Now if the response to this is, "well, arrest him,' then I suggest you go look at every residential, new construction job site on the east coast, west coast, and in the south, and tell all the mortgage bankers, suppliers, realtors, closings companies, developers, city councils, appraisers, surveyors, that have kept this economy going that you want it all to come to a halt. Good luck. Don't you realize that it is the illegal labor that has been floating the housing market, thus the entire U.S. economy, and now it appears that that is in jeopardy, and the WH official on health wants us to put canned tuna and powder milk under our beds?

How about this:
All illegals must register under some federal identity program.
All must be fingerprinted and entered in a worker database.
All must show a record of "paid" health insurance policy.
All must show appropriate, valid drivers license.
All must register all family members in the states.
All must pass some basic english speaking skills.
All must pass a bilateral crime database exchange shared between the U.S. and mexico to ferret out the criminals.

If they can't pass the above seven points, they get thrown out.
