I might have been one of the first ones here to suggest that POTUS seal the border(s) on 9/12/01, but he didn;t and he missed the most golden of opportunities. NOBODY but the ACLU would have dared to complain.
As for the Bush bashing here --- perhaps unbeknownst to you, we have been infiltrated by Bush haters who pretend to be conservatives, when in fact they are regular posters at DU and kos and CP. Most are '04 sign on's who came here to disrupt and bash Bush in the '04 elections. Our "Rather-gate" attracted a number of them!
Sure, we have our own people who critize Bush on a regular basis, but they're never happy. Every elected official is a RINO, save for Ron Paul and Tom Tancredo. Those folks are not democrat trolls, just unappeaseables and constant, consistent complainers. Most have good intentions, but the complaining gets old and tiresome.
I do not share your opinion on President Bush. He is not playing with national security. He is, in fact, a solid, forceful leader and I thank the voters and God that he is POTUS.
Look when I signed up. I camapaigned for the man twice and spent well over a week in florida for he GOP in 04. However, some people have informed me that I am a DU troll. I offer to send pictures proving I was in Florida for the GOP, but they usually back down at that point.
To me, There is ZERO excuse for the immigration fiasco. If you look at it, I bet you anything that more citizens have been killed by illegals via murder, DWI ,etc than died in 9/11.
Additionally, they are not the same immigrants of the past. Sure many are hard working, but do they want to be Americans? Not really for most.
There are so many splinter problems related to illegal immigration one does not have the time to go throught it all.
The best is the WH going on and on about 39,000 illegals from China yet ignore and want to reward millions and millions from Mexico. Why?
When the political corruption is as constant and obvious as at present, you would logically expect constant objection from anyone with a modicum of concern for our republic. The easily appeased who look away from the obvious problems out of fear of having to do something about them are of more concern at this time as far as I am concerned.
