This is completely unsolicited, and young chris here did NOT ping me to his flagrant violation of a FR rule.

This is the kind of attack that I would respond to, but fear it would get me in trouble for defending myself.

Why is this kind of thing permitted??

Whoa. I didn't tell or order anyone to do anything today. I guess some didn't notice, but that post was tongue in cheek. It was posted to the Political Humor topic. I've gone back and added a single word edit to the original post hoping to clarify my intent which, of course, was to have a laugh at the expense of other side.

Somewhat heated debate and minor kidding or putdowns are commonplace and acceptable on FR. When the personal attacks get particularly vicious, nasty or violent we'll usually step in if called upon (unless there are no clean hands which is often the case).
