I freely admit that was childish, so was your reaction to the "clown" post. I don't know you from Adam either; but generally when one is offended by a post they either respond directly to the poster with their concern or ignore it.

Usually one doesn't even go to the moderators unless an issue is really serious, much less to JR. I know it is only polite to notify others when you mention them in a post. I just thought your reaction was over the top. Just struck me as childish and brought out a childish reaction from me.

The threads concerning border issues are getting pretty touchy, many of us are getting a little over the top; and no I am not a racist, far from it. In fact if those who call me that knew me they would even have to admit I am not a racist. My family is a melting pot all of it's own and I personally consider myself a "mutt" pedigree wise, so it would be hard for me to be a racist.

We could all stand to do a little growing up.

No whine zone! I love it.

Yes, that is a good guideline.

I've asked for a source of "the rule" in question but I have not heard anything yet. I'll let you know if I do.

I suspect we will be seeing more of this kind of behavior from irrational political celebrity groupies and other sundry apologists. They seem to adopt the behavioral traits of their political idols/employers and have no problem inventing rules that serve their purpose and ignoring those, presently in effect, that do not. The enablers and apologists for the kind of corruption this thread addresses are just as responsible for the destruction of our republic as the political opportunists they serve.

Although sometimes I am a bit flamboyant with my words, to run to the moderator and JR is simply silly and reminds me of Pre-K. If that is the best they got, then I know we are on the right track.

For me, like the Meirs mess, Like the pill bill, like CFR, like the highway bill, like spending, like AIDS funding in Africa, illegal immigration is the achilles heal this WH refuses to admit and correct. In my mind, GWB has no one to blame but himself for his overall lack of approval.

I simply will not bend over for any politician and take a big one solely becuase they are "on my side". No amount of vaseline will make it better how bad the present bunch of sell-outs are. They are worse than I can ever remember and it seems to be getting worse by the day. When this Gold Card mess hits the press, that will be the true body slam to the average taxpayer.

Some of these people seem to set up shrines on their home pages to politicians. It is sickening. They are not Gods, they are politicans and employees of the people. Sadly, like many RATS, they treat GWB like he is a king when in reality he is an employee of the people who draws his paycheck from our hard work. They are no different than the people who though stimulating a fat intern with a cigar was no big deal.

I just thought your reaction was over the top.

So do I. I was just really mad because it keeps happening over and over again, and that nasty post of chris' put me over the top. I was sick of it, that's all.

I'm perfectly calm now, but I still don't want people calling me names behind my back, and never will.

I did apologize to JimRob for wasting his time. I admit that I did think his thread was serious.........and maybe I think it should have been. I think the name calling and group condemnation around here demeans this place, and when I am guilty of it, I apologize willingly.

And, now that I think about it, I apologize for involving the Mod last night. Just mad at being attacked.................again................and wanted some justice.

btw, people who want stricter border controls are not racists, but there is that handful of them who are, and who interfere with the intelligent discussion of this critical issue with their slurs on an entire group of people.

It's similar with the Muslim situation. Everyone who believes Islam is most certainly NOT a religion of peace, is not a racist. But the guys who call young Arab babies 'nits' are.

It's a condemnation that is thrown around far too often, but in isolated cases, it's accurate, IMO.

If you want anyone to have an ounce of respect for you, you should stop calling the moderator every time there is a little spat. They have more important things to do than to respond petty things like this.

I apologized to you if you were offended, but that was not good enough. Why include me in this latest post?

We are trying to talk immigration, not go over what happened last night.

How are we doing with that cyber hug?

DON'T post "to" or "about" ohioWfan.

I know you know this, but I must pipe in. You're so far from being a racist, it's not even funny. The people who would label the 80 - 90% of the American public that wants a secure border and no guest worker/amnesty as "racists," "xenophobes," or whatever their word of the day is, are the ones who are messed up.

I am trying to get her to lighten up a bit, but it just does not stop. Let it go already.

I was perfectly fine, apologized to her privately, and then she goes and includes me AGAIN in a post to the moderator.

I really want to be friendly with her, but geez, sometimes people just won't let you.

It seems like she is really upset that GWB, whom she has a shrine set up on her homepage, has come under such criticism and seems to be a shadow of his former self with no one left to blame but himself.

This immigration fiasco is largely a result of his doing since after 9/11, he could have easily taken measures to stop the flood and enact policies which make deportations and self deportations more a normal occurence.

After 9/11, he would have had the support of 90% of the citizens to do this, but why did he do nothing?????

The answer to me seems very clear, to pay off the fat cat donors in the GOP and cozy up to his buddy Fox.

He is basically playing poker with our national security on this issue for less than admirable reasons.

I try to explain it like this, if you buy a home and a squatter shows up to live there what do you do? You get your shotgun and call 911. Problem solved.

We for some reason do not use common sense on immigration and are committing suicide as a result.

OK I agree there are some worth saving. I'll change my tag line.

Tancredo can lead the way by registering as an INDEPENDENT!!!

We need to move on 2-4 issues. Get supporters for those issues identified and if they are incumbents, get them to leave the PUBOCRATS and go Independent.

We have to find a way to telegraph our intentions. Then the PUBOCRATS will pick up our main issues and we have a win win.

One of our goals should be to outlaw National parties

Another should be to make practicing Islam illegal(IT ADVOCATES THE VIOLENT OVERTHROW OF OUR GOVERNMENT).

And of course get the fence up and address the issue of illegals.

It wouldn't hurt the economy if we put a lid of say 15% on interest rates either.

Without a closed border, this nation cannot be secure.

Having a closed border does not require a wall.

The MS gangsters don't give a hoot about employers. Central American drug runners don't give a hoot about employers. Islamic terrorists don't give a hoot about employers.

Correct. On the other hand, the other 98% of illegals do give a hoot about employers. Remove their incentive to come and they won't come. If there are no jobs and no welfare, then 90% of illegal immigration will disappear.

The BP can handle the other 10% with no problem.

I might have been one of the first ones here to suggest that POTUS seal the border(s) on 9/12/01, but he didn;t and he missed the most golden of opportunities. NOBODY but the ACLU would have dared to complain.

As for the Bush bashing here --- perhaps unbeknownst to you, we have been infiltrated by Bush haters who pretend to be conservatives, when in fact they are regular posters at DU and kos and CP. Most are '04 sign on's who came here to disrupt and bash Bush in the '04 elections. Our "Rather-gate" attracted a number of them!

Sure, we have our own people who critize Bush on a regular basis, but they're never happy. Every elected official is a RINO, save for Ron Paul and Tom Tancredo. Those folks are not democrat trolls, just unappeaseables and constant, consistent complainers. Most have good intentions, but the complaining gets old and tiresome.

I do not share your opinion on President Bush. He is not playing with national security. He is, in fact, a solid, forceful leader and I thank the voters and God that he is POTUS.

Look when I signed up. I camapaigned for the man twice and spent well over a week in florida for he GOP in 04. However, some people have informed me that I am a DU troll. I offer to send pictures proving I was in Florida for the GOP, but they usually back down at that point.

To me, There is ZERO excuse for the immigration fiasco. If you look at it, I bet you anything that more citizens have been killed by illegals via murder, DWI ,etc than died in 9/11.

Additionally, they are not the same immigrants of the past. Sure many are hard working, but do they want to be Americans? Not really for most.

There are so many splinter problems related to illegal immigration one does not have the time to go throught it all.

The best is the WH going on and on about 39,000 illegals from China yet ignore and want to reward millions and millions from Mexico. Why?

I'm sorry chris. I included you only as a FR courtesy because I was talking about you. It appears that I have offended you even when trying to be polite.

If you ask me to not do so any more, I will gladly oblige.

I was apologizing to the Mod for overreacting to you last night and including him/her in my posts. Did you even read the post? From your response, I'd guess not......

The rest of your post is nonsense, and proves that you have ignored the FACT that I oppose the President's immigration policy, and wanted the borders sealed, and all student Visas revoked immediately after 9/11 with new, stricter immigration policies in place before anyone was let back in, and that I think his policy has been lax in this area (a 'blind spot' is how I have referred to it).

There's no more that I can say when the truth doesn't have any impact, chris. I can only dialogue with you if you actually read the things I say, and not post based on your erroneous perception of who I am, or what I think.

Having a closed border does not require a wall.

Thank you for re-iterating this. It is unbelievable that conservatives want big government spending to pass a law requiring big government spending to seize private property in America. Not to mention the $$$ that would be required to maintain and "staff" a wall. How we can spend $200 billion for economic recovery in Iraq, and not consider Mexican infrastructure investment; is beyond me.
