I have no doubt that if the fate of their country was on the line that the IAF would have no hesitation about launching a one way strike, wheter it be a nuclear Dolittle raid or a truly one-way trip.

a nuclear Dolittle raid

Nuclear is the only way it could be done and retain enough IAF assets to continue defending Israel.

a truly one-way trip

If using conventional weapons that would require such a large percentage of IAF's fighters that their loss would be suicide for Israel.

Disclaimer: All my posts are of course my just my opinion. If I actually knew, I'd not be talking.

Hey, thanks for the welcome. :) Israel purchases our F-15s and F-16s and they have quite an inventory of them. One possibility is that we are in Iraq now and would allow them to overfly Iraqi airspace. Isreali Aircraft Industries have developed a 600 gallon fuel tank for those things and this extensively extends the range. I believe they did this for one reason and that is to deal with Iran. I really do not believe any Arab country is going to be friendly to Israel and allow them to overfly their airspace. However, Israel will take care of themselves and defend themselves and I believe they have the ability to take out the entire region in a matter of days if they wanted to. I mean the 6 days war--it is referred to that for a reason.
