Tears in my eyes as I read this moving story. Prayers offered up for the families of the fallen, that they may find peace.

Every time I read and remember 9/11 it is like re-opening a wound that just will never heal. Fresh tears fall. I will NEVER FORGET.

I read that the death certificates of the Tower victims stated "murder" as the cause of death, because even those who jumped or fell as the heat and flames behind them became too intense, could not be considered "suicides". They were in that position because fanatics attempted to cause them bodily harm, "murder" them.
There's always the possibility that many fell out of the windows by accident, since the air was becoming unbreathable and they leaned further out those windows for air.

In spite of the best efforts of MSM and the Liberal Establishment, I will never, never, never forget the atrocities of 911 and I will always remember my 3,000 brothers and sisters who died that day, martyrs to freedom.

I was going to post that link too. It should be required daily viewing.
The music by Enya however is an earworm for me.

Perhaps one of the most articulate and heart wrenching tributes to The Falling Man ever written... An excellent article. Thanks for posting it. I agree that Jonathan Briley appears to have accepted his fate and decided to get on with it. I'm sure God's angels were there to guide his soul to heaven. We won't forget you, Jonathan, or the others who perished that day.

Somebody made a post earlier today that said, we must forget about 9/11.
Yesterday I was looking for a local message board and came across some site claiming that 9/11 was a hoax. That the networks made up the footage. My husband's question was, "Where did the towers go then?" I wonder how anyone with the hoax theory would explain that one to anyone who was in New York and lived it.

>>or was he so afraid to experience the end?
What an odd statement. Who the hell want's to burn to death? Having worked in a burn ward, I can tell you it's utter hell to die from burning.
Maybe the smoke may have killed people, but remember that smoke is also about 1000 degrees, so you burn from the inside.
I don't blame anybody who jumped to avoid death by fire, and I don't think God will either.

I read that the death certificates of the Tower victims stated "murder" as the cause of death,...That's appropriate.

I was in a fire while I was in my teens.I became convinced that I was going to die when billows of black smoke entered the room.
At the moment I became convinced that I would die,I became *completely* calm and serene (I had been panic stricken up until then).
I later learned that my reaction (a sense of calm resignation) is quite common in such situations.
I sincerely hope (and am inclined to believe) that at least some of the WTC victims (perhaps the jumpers) had that kind of reaction.

Every Congressman and woman running for office this year ought to be asked how they feel today about 9/11 - if they aren't still upset about how all our American people were murdered, then Don't vote for them!
To: lawgirl
Here in the Seattle area we know this, (if we listen to a certain local conservative radio station) because a lady who has a Home Decorating program on local radio was in a hotel right across the street with her husband when it all happened....they took pictures, she testified in Congress.....it was horrible.
