The joke apparently was lost on a La Crosse man who awoke at a party early Friday to find himself covered in syrup and dry oatmeal — then confronted those responsible with a loaded rifle, police said.
Travis Maassen, 20, threatened to put the muzzle of the gun into the mouth of the man who admitted to the prank at a home on the 1200 block of Redfield Street about 3:49 a.m. Friday, La Crosse police said.
Witnesses told police they were just trying to “get even” with Maassen for pranks he had pulled in the past several days, according to the criminal complaint filed in La Crosse County Circuit Court.

My Freshman year in college, my roommate was a real SLOB. Cig butts on the floor... you name it. Every night he got so drunk he was lucky to find his bed. A bunch of us had a poker game in our room, and most of my friends were smokers (I wasn't) and I asked them to use the ashtrays. Just as my roomamate's key hit the lock, we dumped ashtrays of butts and ashes into his bed. He just crawled into bed and passed out. I never heard a peep out of him! BTW, he flunked out the 1st quarter.
