Given that the KGB spent pretty much the entire period of the "Cold War" arming, training, and indoctrinating every conceivable enemy of Israel, that's bulls**t!. The Russians did everything they could for 40 years to destroy Israel.

Remember the 6 Day War? Where did Egypt get all of those tanks, howitzers, AT-7's (our first real glimpse of an effective man-packable tank killer), and SAM's? From Russia.

Where did Arafat get his weapons, including CEMTEX manufactured in Czechoslovakia? From Russia.

Where did Hamas get their AK's? From Russia.

Where did Libya get their tanks, and SAM's? From Russia.

Where did Hezbollah get their RPG's? From Russia.

Sure the Chinese had some influence, and Egypt, Iraq, and others eventually developed their own versions of the above weapons, but they were all taught how to build them by Soviets, and they were all taught how to use them by the Soviets (even to the extent that when they fought conventional battles, they used Soviet doctrine).

The Soviets NEVER met an antisemitic terrorist that they didn't like and support.
