You'll never hear that from me. Here's a snippet from an article (link below) that shows what almost happened in an area incredibly well sealed. Why something similar couldn't happen with DPW, I don't know.

A senior Defense Ministry official said the 421 al-Qaida fighters were actually recruited to storm the U.S. and British embassies and take hostages. Several ranking Defense Ministry officials have been jailed in the plot, the official said on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the information.

Interior Minister Bayan Jabr, in an interview with The Associated Press, said the 421 al-Qaida recruits were one bureaucrat's signature away from acceptance into an Iraqi army battalion whose job is to control the gates and main squares in the Green Zone. The plot was discovered three weeks ago.

What little I know about the Arabic Alphabet is from scanning this History of the Arabic alphabet, but it looks like much of it predates Islam.

Excellent point that their religion is going through the internal struggle now. Extremists cannot win in the long term, but can do a lot of damage.

Barbarians can destroy decadent societies, but I hardly think the west has reached to stage of the Western Roman Empire in the fifth century. Certainly the USA has not reached that point. The key will be if the west has the will to win over Islamic extremism.

Your allegory sounds a bit like the philosophical basis for segregation under Jim Crow. Its main purpose was to separate the races because Blacks were inferior and would dilute the superior White race.

I am not implying that you meant to infer this racist doctrine, but simply to illustrate that the allegory may be a flawed example. Hopefully, the camel dung is like the tu-- in the chlorinated swimming pool. It is nasty, but the water is probably still not going to make anyone sick.

It does point out the difficulty of assimilation of Muslims into western societies. Assimilation has seemed to work better in the USA than Europe, but frankly, Muslims are not assimilating as well as they should. If they continue to maintain their separate subculture apart from the west, it will continue to be a problem (as it certainly did with the riots in France).

No "supposedly" about it. Indeed, only a concretistic primitive would think that value system alone is the deciding factor. There is Nazi Germany for example, and Imperial Japan, which had equally primitive value systems and together damn near extinguished the West.
