I am sorry... this is nonsense. To believe the Grand Canyon was made during the great flood? You can't possibly believe such made up stuff. Who in the world would be foolish enough to think this? And to push off this nonsense in a government run bookstore? Well there is no wonder why scientists are alarmed.

I know the muslims are living in the 15th century but I find it hard to believe that modern day Americans purposely want to live in the 12th.

To paraphrase Berlinski; if we were to replace the word evolution with ‘allah’ and the label of creationist with ‘infidel’ - I don’t think these discussions would read significantly different. But this obviously offends those who use this ‘creationist label‘ often. Why?

So, you are for book burnings or censorship? This is what it sounds like. If it doesn't pass your truth test then the book shouldn't be sold. Books are sold all the time with lies in them, particularly lies about scientific data that is false. Should we ban those too? They are usually sold in government book stores. Where is your outrage about those? The DDT clap trap comes readily to mind.

Just for the record I don't believe the flood caused the grand canyon to form, but on the other hand I don't know what caused it to form. There is evidence that something other than simple eroision did it. Truth is, no one knows how it came into being exactly.

Being scared of a book is doesn't make sense. AND, you know what? It doesn't matter if everyone in the world suddenly started believing that the grand canyon was formed by the flood, what the hell would it hurt? You are steamed up about nothing.
