"Weren't the Magi supposed to be Zoroastrians?"

No, the Magi weren't the "original" Zoroastrians.

The Magi adopted Zoroastrianism after the religion spread widely among the ancient Iranians. The Magi added some rituals of their own to the religion, as well as their knowledge of many things.

The magi entered Christian belief as the wise men from the East who journeyed to Bethlehem after the birth of Jesus.

Modern Zoroastrian tenets are essentially the same as that of traditional Zoroastrian teaching, especially of ancient Iran (Persia).

"KRSI in Los Angeles took calls live this Tuesday morning from people gathered in the streets in Iran and broadcasted them live to listeners all over Iran. "

How on earth did an L.A. station broadcast "to listeners all over Iran"?

...chanting "your redness to me, my yellowness to you"

"Yellowness", "redness", does anybody know why they are chanting it?

""Yellowness", "redness", does anybody know why they are chanting it?"

It is part of the ancient Zoroastrian philosophy (official religion of Iran "Persia" before Islam was forced on Iranians by Arabs at sword's point in the 7th century).

The saying 'your redness is mine and my yellowness or paleness is yours" is 'symbolic' of driving out the bad energy or evil of sickness, and destruction. Light and fire are symbolic of purity and wisdom and health in Zoroastrianism. Zoroastrianism, even today, is part of Iranian culture and identity despite the religion of Islam which was imposed on Iranians long ago.

The regime has mobilized Lebanese, Syrian, Afghan, Algerian, Saudi, Iraqi and Palestinian Basijis against the people in the streets. As Arabs, they cannot care less about hurting, wounding or killing a non-Arab Persian,

So the power of the Mullahs rests on their having non-Persian Arabs around to suppress the Persians?

Evidently the mullahs can't trust Iranian security personnel to lead the charge against their own kinsmen, and have to turn the the Arab Basijis to do their dirty work. It is strange that the Basijis are probably mostly all Sunni Arabs, and the mullahs are Shiites. So the mullahs have apparently abandoned their distaste for Sunnis, especially of the Saudi type, in favor of creating paramilitary goon squads to harass the Persian majority in Iran.

In order to maintain totalitarian rule, it is helpful if you have people who are totally alienated from the people whose heads they will need to bust. So, to rule over Shiite Persians, get Sunni Arabs.

The British in India used Muslims to rule over Hindus

In the US, an alarming sign would be if the government undertook major recruiting of people out of the welfare enclaves for federal "law enforcement"

Since Iranian sheep have all their fat in/on their tails (domb) like a camel stores water in its hump, as you know, and none on their bodies, I would venture to say:

May a Happy New Year come to pass,
And you end up with a weighty, prosperous ass!

As aptly stated by others, the colors of yellow and redness correspond to the "rosiness" associated with good health in the Western world and the yellow palor of sickness.

Since fire has both yellow and red tints, the jumper wishes that the yellow of the fire come from the flames taking away his yellow tint of poor health (if any) and give him the red (rosiness) of good health in return.
