just out of curiousity, anyone know what an insurance company says about repairing damage caused by bullet holes that are caused by the owner of the vehicle?

Sorry, I don't have personal experience in that specific circumstance (fortunately!) but I'm GUESSING that it might actually be covered if you have a Comprehensive policy.  I'm thinking that just as you can have your insurance company replace your rear bumper if you back your own car into a tree, bullet holes are also caused by your own actions and so it might be covered.  However, my further guess would be that they would raise your premium to an astronomical level or simply drop you from coverage entirely if you were to submit a claim for such a thing.

Again this is just a guess and hopefully someone in the insurance industry or who has greater familiarity with such a claim might drop by and provide a definitive answer.
