The New York State Supreme Court recognized this back in 1892, or so. Of course, that was a different age, when the general populace weren't such spiritual ignorami.
The NYSSC ruled that "..followers of impostors, such as Mahommet.." were NOT to be afforded "freedom of religion," as in the First Ammendment, but, rather, "...are to be harassed!"
They also deported a moslem imam over it.
The ruling has never been vacated, reversed or overturned, either.
Like I said, it was a more enlightened age back then. Today, we seem to be all too willing to politely hold the door open for our own assassins, (a term used to describe moslems since the 11th century).

The Court was not alone:
"How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live. A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity.
