Of course, they had to put the President's name in the title.
Anyway, the reason I posted is that Claude Allen has a troubled twin brother named Floyd. Thought it was a satire at first look.

All of these events allegedly occurred in the Democratic Stronghold of Montgomery County, Maryland leaving me to only assume that Mr. Allen is the victim of a smear campaign targeting one of the most prominent black Republicans in the United States.
To: Daralundy
He was Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy (according to the White House website...cached on Google, as it has been removed...). Would you rather that they deny that Allen was a pretty high ranking official in the Bush White House?
Hard to believe that this guy engaged in petty theft....has an awesome resume.
To: H. Paul Pressler IV
Yeah, I guess all the tapes they have of him committing fraud are photoshopped, right?
To: Daralundy
todays ny slimes blame it on bush article
To: Daralundy
What a tragedy.....I wonder if he doesn't have a mental compulsion to steal? Kleptomania?
Was his bright future squandered by 'petty theft'.....or was it really Floyd and he's covering up for him? Sounds like a bizarre Grade B movie.......LOL

Mr. Allen, one of the nation's most prominent African-American Republicans... Really? That's a surprise to me. I had never heard of him until I read reports of his arrest.

He has all the Attributes of someone the Democrats would hate and want to Destroy.
Worked For:
Jesse Helms
Justice Thomas
President Bush
The man was set-up!

I wonder how one goes about stealing a home theater system. Did he walk out of the store with it under his arm?

Sounds like a bizarre Grade B movie.......LOL
Or a soap opera. Now, who could we get to play the troubled twins?
To: El Gran Salseron
He would buy an item, take the receipt, go to another store, pick up the same item, and then take it to the counter for a "refund". Apparently Target and Hechts have 25 tapes of him doing this.
To: Daralundy
Claude was simply cashing in those five-finger discounts.

Took 'em a while to figure out what their store number on a sales receipt is for, didn't it?

Allen is a victim of his own stupidity. I wish FReepers would stop excusing the criminal actions of Republicans and conservatives. Corruption is corruption, regardless whether it comes from the Left or Right.
To: ContemptofCourt
His defense is simple. He was confistaking those items for use in an emergency - like those New Orleans Po lice officers in WalMart during Katrina.

Perhaps Michelle Malkin has solved the case but I still think he must of set-up by a larger conspiracy.
To: Phsstpok
I hope she is right.
I would hate to see this be true.
If it is, he should be held accountable. If it is not him, he should be apologized to publicly.
To: pollyannaish
I wonder if his brother is a Democrat?
To: Daralundy
Notice how the man is convicted already.
Any friend of the President's got to be guilty.
