Security: Now that the port deal's dead, maybe those who killed it will focus on our southern border, where violence reigns, local governments are overburdened and the environment is trashed by illegal immigration.
While much attention has been paid of late to potential security breaches at U.S. ports, a study done by the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) and released by the U.S./Mexico Border Coalition (bordercounties.org) details the real harm and increasing economic burden imposed on U.S. border counties by this unregulated influx of humanity.

It's been going on for years so it's not just the Bush administration's fault.
I have to explain everything to you guys.
Not very many people from UAE vote, Many Hispanics do.
Its all about votes. Its all about scamming the average American by claiming the President isnt doing enough about guarding the ports. Now when you mention the Borders , thats different.
World Net Daily, to my knowledge, was the only news organization to bring to light that the Democrats routinely distribute voting cards to illegals in California telling them to vote Democrat...my point is this...the Republicans should realize that 70% or more want something done...take a chance for crying out...for what we spend on foreign aid...nation building...or the National Endowment for the Arts...surely we could construct secure, reinforced fence and our military could perform it's primary duty under the constritution to defend the borders of the United States. If you don't do it now...the demographics will be multiplied exponentially each year....70+ support will decreasingly decline and eventually Mexico's government will have a lot of say in what our government does...
Mexico's already determining Bush's policy in this hemisphere.
Oddly, the US isn't having any effect on anything Mexico chooses to do.
Thank God for the Minutemen!
There is plenty that could be done. That isnt the problem. The problem is finding anyone of either party with the backbone to do it.
We are too busy passing our jobs to Mexico, and using their cheap Labor.
Love that NAFTA.
