It seems to me that - contrary to MSM predictions of a civil war - that the recent terrorists bombings have actually - despite the inevitable reprisal killings and attacks - moved the main factions closer together. I'm beginning to see the first stirrings of an Iraqi people grasping the idea that the terrorists are their common enemy, and - more importantly - that they have the power, united, to do something about it, and that they can actually glimpse a better future than they ever had under Saddam or would have under the jihadists. Am I dreaming?
Thank God for FR..........unlikely to hear this ANYWHERE in the MSM. Thanks for posting.
This is good news, but things may be ratcheting up in Afghanistan - 8 GIs killed in 2 IED attacks in the last month, 4 per attack. Seems the Baathists/al Qaeda are exporting IED technology because I believe both were up-armored HMMVs.
2 IED attacks in a month is considered an increase in violence?! That sort of thing would be lost in the noise of the Korean War or World War Two.
I agree, but the MSM seem to make a big deal of it, lamenting the "surge" in violence. While it is never good to have those things occur, they are part of war. Imagine what the MSM would do with the news from the first 3 days of the battle for Iwo Jima, let alone the full 31 days. We could be speaking Japanese today if the current MSM traitors were in charge back in 1945.
BTTT! Looks like someone has an axe to grind. Yeesh!!
