No sweat. I've got tons of Y2K crap left over.

Just catching up on this thread! I only bought stuff that I knew we'd use (for Y2K, that is). It was great. We didn't have to do any serious grocery-shopping for about a year. I didn't realize what a great job I had done in stocking up! I only bought stuff that we normally use - just more of it. The only thing we didn't use was the darned "hamburger rocks" that I made. Although they would have been fine (if not sorely lacking in taste) in spaghetti sauce or lasagna.

Even my husband, who humored me through the whole thing, liked having all the extra stuff in the house. We decided we'd always keep our pantry stocked, but then didn't keep up with it. I wish we had.

We're going back into "Y2K mode" LOL! Something comforting about being stocked up that gives you a sense of control in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

(By the way, anybody know of where I can buy canned meats?)
