When the boy's mother saw her son with the gun she took it from him, removed the clip, and put the gun back in the couch not knowing it was still loaded.

Some people are just morons. I would think the police would notify child services as this woman doesnt seem to have her act together. Hasnt she heard of gun locks? Why on earth would you put a gun in a couch? That seems very odd to me.
