In my opinion Bush and the talking heads that he has around him have created his coming irrelevance by refusing to take a heavy hand with respect to illegals and the border.

You can't talk tough about national security while doing nothing to stem the tide of lawbreakers that reside here and those that cross the border daily and expect to be taken seriously.

The result is that when you push for something like the ports deal your word is no longer good.

You got that right! Bush has no credibility anymore with me, specifically as a result of his policy of deliberate non-enforcement of our border sovereignty and our immigration laws. Especially when when he clings to his open borders philosophy in the face of the public's overwhelming opposition to it.

Until he takes the problem of illegal immigration seriously, I will not trust a word he says about globalism or free trade.

I have defended the President but your point is very well taken. I think you nailed it. Now as to the Republicans in Congress....

Every day, I hear more and more stories on the news about illegals involved in crimes in my area. Get's worse every day.

These are not guest workeres any more than a cockroach is a guest worker.

Rush and co make a very good argument about foreign countries doing business in this country and how this port deal was blown out of porportion. I can see why some people would agree with him. However, We are at war with an ideal that threatens the safety of EVERY SINGLE AMERICAN. Islam. But we can't say that we are at war with Islam. We must cloud it in rhetoric. Meanwhile the ultimate plan is one of blending all cultures into one big mushy state. Sound like heaven? But the architects of this society forgot history. Islam will be the shoehorn for Globalism.

Stated goal: Global Unity
Unstated Goal: Global control

State goal: Guest workers
unstated goal: Destabilize society to give reason for controls.

We are being taken for a ride my friends. You can think you are in the front seat, but that wont matter. When the car stops moving and you get out, you wont recognize a damn thing.

Well said, your word is dependent on how many times it is broken.

Exactly! It is almost impossible to understand why we are throwing hundreds of billions of dollars at a war where the enemy is apparently so weak and inconsequential and incapable of attacking us that we can tolerate thousands of anonymous people crossing our borders into the homeland every single night. It doesn't make sense

Either we are at war against a dangerous enemy and the homeland should be secured or we are just wasting vast sums of money to secure the President's nation building legacy.
