I spent all day Saturday and all day Sunday three weeks ago researching the DPW port deal, looking at it from every possible angle, and what really struck me as plainly obvious was how much the political angle was being played up in the media.
I spent the remainder of that weekend educating myself about ports, management of ports, security, and all parties involved.

BTW, by educating yourself about ports and other nautical matters you undoubtedly ended up in the same camp as Jimmy Carter (concerning this deal) because you were looking at the same thing and using the same words in the same way.
For all other purposes Jimmy is a creep, of course.

Did you make a field trip? For something as complex in operation as a port, a field trip helps. I've been to parts of ports, but have toured the whole shebang. Would be helpful to all to have some in-depth documentary of port operations. Starting from the gantry operator's break room and working out.
