I'm actually shocked at the number of FReepers who think the port deal was a good one. How can we let foreign entities have any control in our ports, even if it is just management, after what has happened? We are at war with their brethren, for pete's sake!
The UKian people owned those contracts. They were selling the contracts. If you haven't checked lately, the UKian people have been "foreigners" since 1775.
