FWIW...and I realize it's zero...the whole thing go out of hand because of egos.
Agreed...but bayourant definitely fouled up and refused to back down when confronted with facts!
Thanks.
Even when you weigh your responses in PC terms, someone will jump all over you. History is history, and if you forget it, you will be sure to repeat it. Sad that some don't understand that concept. There is nothing racist about that. It is survival.
Bloomberg has the backbone of a jellyfish. I guess all major police departments have the same problems with idiots getting in the way.
No I am not telling you that I was in favor of the internment camps. I thought it was pretty rotten, actually. However, our government keeps secrets from us. They know things we don't know, and sometimes that is how it should be. Confiscation of their property was criminal, however.
If I can get my brain/FR search engine to work, I'll look up a link someone posted. We were discussing Mengele, and turns out the Japanese had been doing the same thing to the Chinese and Koreans even before WWII. Our government let the authors of this atrocity off the hook, in exchange for all their data.
I grew up in an area with a large Asian presence, and my uncle spent years in Japan as an engineer. He spoke fluent Japanese. I don't have a problem with anyone, unless they step on my toes. No one who happens to be Asian has ever stepped on my toes(no one else either-except my fellow whites), and as a matter of fact, they are down to the last person, pretty darn decent.
Don't try and bait me. My posts are there for anyone to look at. Knock yourself out.
Are you sure you aren't the one with the bias?
No, Michelle Malkin is though.
Michelle Malkin? Why do you say that?
She's currently the most popular WWII revisionist in FR threads. Among other things she tries to justify internment camps for women and children.
You wouldn't happen to have any links to her stating that, would you?
Sometimes remarks can be taken out of context. I'd like to see her reasoning regarding internment camps for women and children.
She wrote an entire book justifying the internments. Most of the internees were women and children.

Like everyone else around here...
:^)
Then he executed the families!
I'm having a very difficult time telling the difference between one third-worlder and another in this debate over internment and arrests of children.
I've said all I can say about dirt balls and mud bags. How about you?!
All's well that ends well. :^)
Even the Civilian Complaint Review Board-something that was imposed by the Dinkins administration, after having been explicitly rejected by this city's voters in a plebiscite years before-doesn't have nearly the power that a similar body in Los Angeles does.
Not that it should even exist in the first place; it shouldn't.
But overall, New York City is much better in this respect than any other major city.
The problem is that Bloomberg is a clueless schmuck.
I remember a caller to the John Gambling show-this was the day of the week when they invite the mayor of the city on to discuss issues with constituents-complaining about the shrieking, blood-curdling calls of the muezzin at one of the numerous mosques that blight this city nowadays, asking him if something could be done to make this imam conform with public nuisance laws that apply to every other group in this city.
Of course, Bloomie's response was that he couldn't do anything to "suppress" this would-be UBL from "exercising his religion."
It doesn't seem to have occurred to this putz that that imam-if he had his way-would probably have him beheaded.
What a dope we have as mayor!
*sigh*
Well, what were her justifications?
Btw, I think I found the link for the Imperial Army's Unit 731: http://www.sjwar.org/htm/731-07.html
It is a link, but I haven't had time to read through it. It's like 10 pages long, but worth the read.
Are you saying that American authorites rounded up whole families and slaughtered them?
Really. Comparing the American government and their perhaps misguided attempts at security, and Saddam's meglomanic bloodlust is stretching it.
