Additionally, senators who seek the nomination have to justify republicans losing that senate seat to dems. At least if McCain want to add some credibilty he shoud help win us Arizona Goverorship in 2006.
Agreed. McCain is a longer explanation than we have time for. For example, I really believe one of the reasons McCain wanted campaign finance reform was to get out from under his own states party base not supporting him. There's just so much going on with McCain that most GOPers are not aware of well enough. Enough to shoot down any thought he ever had for being president.
