If you look back at his columns from those days you'll see that much of his more "nasty needling" was toward Haldeman and Ehrlichman and some of the other surly "characters" around Nixon.

But, I hear what you are saying.

I just liked him because I'd see him on the Vineyard, and he's be walking around Edgartown in the early morning, right after sunrise, and somehow, he already had found something good to munch on. He was a riot in person...... we'd sit there on a bench and talk for quite a long time, year after year. I never let him know that I knew who he was and he never acted like he knew who I was.

;-)

After living in Germany for four years my son never got the feeling that the work ethic was alive and well in Germany.

Smoking gun here SC! Excellent pick.

I guess the problem is that even if the tapes are released showing there really were WMD's you
would never read it in the MSM. Or if you did
it would be edited so much it would probably
have a completely different spin.

Once again showing the importance of what we do here, but you are right the tapes should be released.

Shhh! Don't tell Kerry about Biden's mascara. We'll have a 'mascara gap'. (See Dr. Strangelove). Kerry's already tweezed his eyebrows to his ears.

It's much easier for Biden and democrats, given they have the hosts on their side.

It's also easier when you don't care if you are telling the truth or not. Quoting polls which count about 20% more rats then Pubs provides them additional non-fact based talking points.

You dont have a Season Pass for Fox News Sunday?

I've got so many Season Passes, I have to find space tonight on one of my boxes for the new Sopranos season. Between Battlestar Gallactica and 24, I am running out of space on my main box.

I agree Republicans are jockeying for position and there's infighting and adjustments being made. But, I have faith the GOP will have it all together by November and the Democrats will fail, again.

People forget, the Republican majority has won seats in every election since 2000. Unheard of in the past. The only loss, of that, was Jeffords defection in 2000 which meant two years of Democrat Senate control. But, that changed in 2002 and was incresed in 2004.

No matter how bad it appears for Republicans, the leadership of Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Howard Dean makes us look like heros by comparison.

I don't know. I did see Willie Nelson in concert once and he did that song and did both parts. Just great.
