This is something I have thought would happen over time. Any insurgency must have the support of the locals if it is to succeed. In this case, the AlQueda has overstayed it's welcome and done the first thing to destroy any base they had to have successful operations, attacked the people supporting them.
Now that the tribesman see exactly what AlQueda has to 'offer', they are taking care of the insurgents in their own way.
I almost feel sorry for any prisoners they capture.

A most telling aspect of all of this is that the number two AQ man - who we just missing killing by predator - has called back his men from Iraq.
Paki intelligence has reported that a significant number of them are in the tribal areas again, signaling a shift in focus to pakistan and afghanistan.
Apparently the "Roach trap" strategy worked too well for them. :^)
