Selective coverage by biased media

Where's the reporting on Saddam Hussein's weapons of mass destruction program?

When President Bush ordered the invasion of Iraq, the gleeful liberal press reported daily on our lack of finding Saddam Hussein's weapons of mass destruction.

However, two former Iraqi military leaders and tapes of Saddam Hussein and his cronies have recently painted a different story. Alas, other than one TV station, I have found no coverage of either the tapes nor these commanders' accounts. Is this yet another example of liberal bias in the media?

In tapes going back to 1995 -- four years after some liberals claim Hussein gave up his WMD program -- Hussein and his son-in-law were heard to boast that they fooled the U.N. inspectors. In a tape recorded in 2000, Saddam Hussein is heard talking about Iraqi scientists' efforts to build a nuclear device.

Further, Georges Sada, the No. 2 general in the Iraqi Air Force under Saddam Hussein, recently published a book, Saddam's Secrets. Not surprisingly, the liberal media conveniently overlooked this book. In his book, Sada states that prior to our invasion, Saddam Hussein smuggled biological and chemical weapons into Syria, using civilian airliners. Sada's account is corroborated by Ali Ibrahim al-Tikrit, the former Southern Regional Commander under Saddam Hussein.

One would think that if Vice President Dick Cheney's hunting accident deserved more than one week of commentary in the media,

. . . MSM are first and foremost big business . . .
<<

And that's why they knowingly continue to alienate more than half their potential audience even as their stock values crash?

How can you trust an industry, in the case of the print media, who's business model is to champion people who can't and won't read their product?

**It is simple, the MSM hates President Bush!**

The old media is a branch of the Democrat Party. They hate all Republicans who are not RINOs and they barely tolerate RINOs when they are elected.

This "Cobra II" book is CYA for the MSM, revealing nothing we didn't know, and professing that Bush ignored good advice. NOTHING mentioned would have resulted in success. The authors engage in a great deal of assumption-making regarding micromanagement of everything from troop movements to PR, also with the assumption that no serious analysis or criticism of the book will be forth coming.

This is just more "Bush Lied" when all the growing body of evidence says is that "Saddam fooled the left" and continues to. The WMD issue is one that the NYT and its Democrat allies had best leave alone, as they have worn out that avenue of demagoguery,

Not one word on the considerable aid and comfort afforded by the leftist press and the Democrats, like Durbin, Rockefeller, Leahy, Kennedy, Pelosi an Murtha, and how the insurgency has been prolonged by the Cronkite-like effect their duplicity and fraud. I look forward to real analysis of how the Democrats and the left have undermined our national security, and now brazenly try to capitalize on it. That is what we need to know.
