prayers are not banned in schools. compulsory prayers are.
Why not go the full yard and rewrite the consitution to permit only one religion?
Who said anything about permitting only one religion?
It would be hopeless to try to recognize this fact constitutionally, however, as legal suppression woud never survive the courts. Nevertheless, vigorous enforcement of conspiracy laws and other organized crime -style law enforcement could shut down most of the criminals in the mosques. There is no First Amendment protection for self-described religious leaders committing crimes like the planning, instigation and execution of violence. Every "imam" who makes a speech instigating or advocating violence or overthrow of civil government is a criminal who should be arrested, prosecuted, and punished with a lengthy prison sentence--in maximum security, followed by deportation for noncitizens. As with the drug laws, legislation should be passed enabling assets used in the commission of these crimes to be confiscated by the government, including real estate. Religious affiliation should be no defense for the commission of criminal activity.
This does not imply letting up on the military war on terror internationally, in the slightest. It merely recognizes the domestic reality that for the barbarians to make headway in the US they would have to be engaged sooner or later in criminal activities. And when they do, they need to be grabbed by the scruff and have thir asses kicked good and hard.
If France arrested, prosecuted and punished every perpetrator in their schools, culminating in long prison sentences or deportation, they could regain control of their society. They would have to build lots of prisons, but if they had the will they could do it. It appears that they just do not believe their survival is worth the effort. Do we?
They need to boot Muslims out, en masse.
According to a piece on FR the other day, Germany is considering outlawing the Koran. Presumably, they'll insist it's not a religion but a murderous cult inimical to native German values.
"They need to boot Muslims out, en masse."
Maybe. I think a more realistic first step, for now, would be to curtail any expansion of Islam inside the United States. What I mean is, this would have more chance of being enacted at this time.
Such a freeze would entail:
1) no more Islamic immigration into the United States.
2) no new mosques built in the United States.
At least if we got this done, we would be limiting the scope of the problem and might be able to start making some progress in increasing our security.
I do.
Actually I disagree with the idea of outlawing the koran ... it should be required reading (or at least sections of it should be required reading -- I don't know if I'd be so cruel as to force anyone to read the entire length of this gibberish). We should understand why this cult should be outlawed. If we agree that the islamic 'holy books' call for killing others - then ban it.
Whether or not this is done by a 'targeted' banning (as I suggested) or via an amendment (as suggested by strategfor) that outlaws religions/cults that preach violence (instructing its adherents to 'strike the head off' of those who don't convert or kill those former adherents that leave the cult) is not important.
"Masha pashet polye plugem, s drugum." "Ya rabotayu na rakyetnem zavodye." "Bce ravno, bce gavno." ...i tak dalye.
I simply could not get these proverbs from anyone else I know.
I spent 5 years of my life in Ireland, working for Oracle. Though I had quite a good command of English, my Irish colleagues were laughing at me, when I used this 50's BBC English which we were taught in school. Complete disaster.
Shtirlitz walked through the streets of 1944 Berlin, not knowing what uncovers him mostly - either red star on his cap or the parachute dragging behind.
Am laughink out loud tovarishch, am laughing out loud!
Tears are runnink down face!
