Well, for one I have an old friend who revealed to me that he was involved in counter espionage way back when. Apparently he was close to becoming a counter spy, recruited by the Soviets. There plan way back then was very detailed and spoke of infiltrating all levels of American culture to weaken us. It appear true that they have been succesful, academicly, spiritualy, politicaly and on many other levels. So this appears to me to be the reason why we are inable to have a clear resolve as to who the enemy is and what to do about it. They have used our own weapons against us.

You are correct. Hopefully, the wall the Russians have built within our society to prevent us from achieving self-knowledge will nonetheless be breached. A few days ago, I heard Jim Quinn, local radio guy, talking about how the KGB helped set up the Progressive Caucus inside our own US Congress and Senate. The Progressive Caucus originated FISA, the court that oversees our antiterrorism efforts.
Hearing Jim Quinn talk about this was very hopeful to me. Although he is an intelligent person and a conservative Republican, he generally goes on endlessly about cultural Marxism, psychological disorders of Leftists, and similar subjects.
Hearing your response also helps. I hope and trust that you and your friend are well and reasonably secure.
One of the things I have been talking about on the Free Republic is the need for conservatives to start forming localized committees of intelligence and self-defense. Freepers talk a lot about their guns---I have no problem with that---but there is another side to security that also needs to be addressed.
I'm not suggesting that I want people to tell me all their business this in this regard; it is just something I want to increase awareness of.
