Growing up in Detroit, every Saturday night during hockey season we'd watch Hockey Night in Canada. I can still remember always hearing the announcer..."Geoffrion to Cournoyer! Now back to Geoffrion! HE SHOOTS! HE SCORES!!!!"

That announcer was Danny Gallivan, I think. Yah, there was usually a 'he scores' after 'he shoots' with those guys.
