Typical. I think about it often. We are under the mistaken impression that the act of information disemination has attached to it a covenant of some kind to include TRUTH AND INFORMATION ... when in fact, nothing of the kind exists. The broadcast media are not bound by ANYTHING other than the need to be financially successful and that they do, by being entertaining...and provocative.
The more people we enlighten to this sorry fact, the less disappointed they will be. After reading that article and the thread, don't you feel much less inclined to think you are disappointed in the medium?
The Court Jester after all, does not rule the kingdom, not unless the King himself has lost his senses and handed over the sceptre. (We did hand it over, but we must learn how to take it back!)
