Why is it that Schumer is into everything these days. Does it seem like the media only pays attention to Hitlery and Schumer? Schumer represents 1% of the American public, he is an idiot, but he is treated like the president (by the media) in all matters considered important. Does anyone else recognize how directed out media is (like someone is guiding it)? There is no free press in my opinion, all smoke and mirrors.

"Why is it that Schumer is into everything these days."
Schmukie Schumer (say that three times real fast) never met a microphone he didn't like.

It sounds like they are trying to undermine Condoleezza Rice.

I think you're low on the idiot estimate, at least 2% still have John Kerry bumperstickers on their cars.

This is a scrappleface right?? I thought it was illegal for unauthorized individuals or groups to negotiate on behalf of the United States. They need executive authorization for that.
What if congress negotiates a deal that the state department and the executive opposes... Isn't that a constitutional crisis? Wouldnt that be a possible cause for civil war?

Yeah redstate blog I think was a little mad at how it played out. So he did a little satire. Even though there is some truth in the underlying sentiment.

The newly-created Congressional Diplomacy Office will take over from the State Department, Is this not unconstitutional? Under the Constitution, the President of the United States determines U.S. foreign policy. Not the Congress, they only 'Advise and Consent' on appointments of ambassadors. They have no role in the conduct of foreign affairs. [Even the "work" done of Sen. Rockefeller in Syria and Rep. McDermott in Iraq was extra-constituional and therefore illegal. Does anyone else see that?]
If this happens we will be conducting two separate and different policies toward other nations.
I really wonder what wisdom lies in the US Congress, both the Senate and House of Representatives, on this fiasco.

House Speaker Dennis Hastert and Senate Majority Leader Frist may announce as early as Sunday which allies will be permitted to assist the United States in the event that action must be taken against the growing threat from Iran. Congressional Republicans recently announced that the Congress will henceforth be managing relations with allies. Will someone tell me this is a bleeping joke and that I didn't really read what I just read
