Reagan, although he had a hostile press, didn't have NEAR the open hostility that President Bush has faced. At least there was a small attempt to appear to be respectful of the presidentcy, that is gone today.

I agree with what you say, but eight years of 'slick willie and his missus' made the masses forget what 'RESPECT' meant. They wouldn't even know how to spell it to look it up in the dictionary.

When Ronald Reagan was in office he could at least rely on his side of the aisle to back him up and not abandon him as President Bush's phony hypocrites did to him. Also for some of those 'Bush-bashers' here to compare Ronald Reagan and George Bush's actions in front of a camera is asinine, considering thats what Ronald Reagans original profession was and he had the benefit of years of training. Winston Churchill also had a problem with speeches and being in front of camera's just as President Bush has, but no-one called him names and a fool because of it, and his strength as a leader wasn't effected by it.

These past few days, many times I've wondered if I did the right thing becoming a citizen of a nation full of selfish hateful people, but luckily when I see the flag and our sincere President and First Lady on TV I'm thankfully able to dismiss those negative thoughts for a while. Those who think this country is being run so badly and are not satisfied with the Presidents actions need to go and live in a country under a dictatorship for a while, they'll soon see how fortunate they are living here in this great nation and also maybe make them realize why the President wants to help spread freedom to other nations that are so oppressed.

Thankfully there are still a few of us left that have a little sanity remaining even though we do appear to be in the minority now, but what will it take to bring those who have wandered back to the fold......another 9/11?

Where this Washington disaster will lead us heaven only knows, but one can only hope the President has one more ace left in his deck to pull out and put us back on the right road again before we lose it all.

God Bless the President and may the almighty give him strength.
God Bless all our Troops, past and present.
God Bless America.

P.S. Well done dirty harry, you managed to stop your crimes and scandals from being the main topic on the Sunday shows again didn't you?
