As you mentioned these gang of thugs may have turned him over to zmans goons. Makes sense. Hopefully with zman's migration to eastern Iraq, he may choose to make a break at the wrong time and at the wrong place and get nabbed. Else he is history. Once in Iran he is free as a bird. At least his dream finally seems to be coming to an end. As we had discussed in earlier articles, the high probability of him going to Iran with his destination either in Afghanistan or the boarder regions with Pakistan as his final stop.
But so be it. At least his organization is being decimated in all the previous provinces he had a control in. And more Sunni continue to ease up, or at least it seems indicative they are coming around.
With the Iraqi Army doing as well as it is, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Now with Jaffari looking daily like he is out, perhaps more cool heads will prevail and see the possibilities of more compromise. It is possible.
